With a little care, each flame will burn cleaner, safer, and longer, from the first light to the very last flicker.

 

 

Light With Intention

  • Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

  • Keep away from drafts, direct sunlight, and anything flammable.

  • Never leave a candle unattended.

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.

 

 

 

The First Burn is Everything

Let your candle burn until the wax melts edge-to-edge across the jar.

This sets its “memory” and ensures a smooth, even burn for every light thereafter.

 

 

Wick Wisdom 

  • Trim your wick to 5mm before each burn. Wicks that are too short can cause tunnelling, while overly long wicks may mushroom and create black soot on the glass.

  • If the flame flickers wildly, or smokes, extinguish, trim, and relight.

  • A short wick means a controlled flame, less soot, and a longer life for your candle.

 


Burn Time

  • Do not burn a candle for less than 1 hour or more than 4 hours at a time! 

    We avoid burning a candle for more than 4 hours because after that point:

     

    • The wick can become unstable and may start to lean, fall over, or burn hotter than intended.

    • Excess heat can overheat the jar, especially in glass containers.

    • Fragrance quality can degrade and burn off too quickly, dulling the scent.

    • Mushrooming can build up and a big carbon cap on the wick can form, producing soot and smoke.

     

  • For large spaces, allow the scent to fill the room, then extinguish to extend its life.

  • Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains to protect the vessel.

 

 


Extinguishing With Care

  • Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax to extinguish.

  • Avoid blowing out the flame, it creates smoke and can splatter hot wax.

 

 


Heat & Handling

  • The jar will become hot during use. allow it to cool completely before touching or moving.

  • Never move a burning candle.

 

 

 

Storage

  • Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve its fragrance and finish.

 

 


After the Last Flame

When the final glow fades, clean out your jar with warm, soapy water.

Give it a second life. perfect for flowers, makeup brushes, or keepsakes.
